It was my great pleasure to have had Juan Tomás as my cello instructor during my extended holiday in Córdoba. He not only helped me find a cello to rent but also made every effort to teach me in English since my Spanish was limited.
In the short time that I had him as my instructor, he inspired me to explore the use of harmonic intonation for playing in tune. He gave me tips on playing vibrato and how to use the bow for dynamics and musical expression. Most of all, he encouraged me to simply enjoy the journey of learning. He is a quality teacher and a quality person.
